The purpose of this symposium is to introduce and expand upon those areas of spatial models and spatial statistical methods that support and contribute to the Agricultural, Civil Engineering, Environmental, and Survey industries. This is the third in an ongoing series of workshops and symposia sponsored by two interdisciplinary groups;  the University of California Kearney Ag Center and the NCWC GIS Users Group. Also supporting this particular symposium are ESRI and Napa Valley College.

Currently we have various presentations on disease source and spread distributions, soils and irrigation models along with a presentation by Konstantin Krivoruchko, Ph.D., from ESRI on use of Spatial Statistics in GIS data exploration and model building. Dr. Krivoruchko is the Product Manager for the ESRI Geostatistical Analyst extension and author of the ESRI 3-volume series on the use and application Spatial Statistics in GIS models.

We welcome more presenters, given the need to supplement the roster with some presentations from the Civil and Municipal Land Planning Sector. Tentative Civil and Survey presentations to date include specialized surface models for machine control, underground flow models based on thiessen polygon driven flow volumetrics with geocoding and complex erosion control models in ArcView/ArcGIS.

Refreshments and Lunch will be included BOTH days. There will be a wine and cheese "round table" with the presenters on Friday afternoon.

Early registration is at a discounted rate. Please register EARLY so that we can plan for meals and such.
